MRE2U

Enquire on a listing

Send the agent your details through the enquiry form, or message them on WhatsApp, and know who gets what.

There are two ways to reach the agent behind a listing: the enquiry form, or WhatsApp. You don't need an account for either.

Using the form

  1. Open the listing. On a card, Enquire takes you straight to the form. On the listing page, Request Full Spec does the same.
  2. Under Enquire About This Listing, fill in Name and Phone. Email (optional) and Message (optional) are up to you.
  3. Press Send Enquiry.

When it goes through, the form is replaced by "Thanks — your enquiry has been sent. We'll be in touch soon."

Tell the agent what you need in the message: when you can view, your budget, and when you'd want to move in or complete. It saves a round of calls.

Who sees it

Your enquiry goes to the agent who posted the listing, and only to them. It lands in their MRE2U inbox, and they're sent an email with your name, phone, email and message. Other agents and other buyers don't see it. On the few listings that name no agent, it goes to MRE2U instead.

You don't get a copy by email, so note the listing number (the number at the end of its link) if you want to refer to it later. The agent replies by phone, WhatsApp or email, in their own time.

Using WhatsApp

  • WhatsApp next to Send Enquiry opens WhatsApp with whatever you've typed in the form, plus the listing's name and number. Nothing is sent through MRE2U; the chat is between you and the agent. If the agent hasn't given a WhatsApp number, there's no WhatsApp button; use Send Enquiry.
  • Book Site Inspection on the agent card opens a WhatsApp chat with the agent, when the agent has given a number.
  • On the Properties and Classifieds pages, cards have a WhatsApp button when the agent has given a number.

A WhatsApp message doesn't reach the agent's MRE2U inbox, so it's worth using the form too if you want a record.

If it doesn't send

  • Only live listings take enquiries. If the listing has just been sold or taken down, the form shows "Failed to send: Not found".
  • To stop spam, one connection gets 5 tries on the same listing in an hour. After that the form shows "Failed to send: Too many enquiries — please try again later".
  • Name and phone are required, and an email address, if you give one, must look like one.

For what MRE2U does and doesn't check about listings, see Who posts listings, and how they are checked.
