This page shows you how tags work on a listing and how to keep your own list of suggested tags.
Tags on a listing
On the listing form, Tags / Features holds short selling points: "Corner Lot", "Near LRT", "Renovated", "High Ceiling". Type one, then press a comma or Enter, and it turns into a pill. The cross on a pill removes it. Backspace in an empty box removes the last one.
Tags are public. Buyers see them as small labels on your listing page and on its card in the feeds, and they print on your flyer. Don't put anything private in a tag; that's what Internal Notes is for.
Your tag list
As you type in Tags / Features, your browser suggests matching tags from your own list. Picking one saves you typing and keeps the same feature spelt the same way on every listing.
The list lives on the Tags page in the menu. You can also reach it from the Manage tag repository link beside the Tags / Features box. It opens in a new tab, so you don't lose the listing you're working on.
Your account starts with a ready-made list of common features. After that it's yours: changes you make never touch another agent's list.
Adding and removing tags
- Add: type the tag under Add a Tag and press Add. A tag you already have is refused with "That tag already exists".
- Remove: press the cross on the tag. It goes at once, with no undo.
There is no edit button. To fix a spelling, add the right version and remove the wrong one.
Removing a tag from your list only stops it being suggested. Listings that already carry it keep it. To take it off a listing, open the listing and remove the pill.
Tags you don't have to keep
The list is only suggestions. You can type any tag on a listing, even one that isn't on your list, and it won't be added to the list by itself. If you find yourself typing the same new tag often, add it here.
